Senior Accounting Specialist

We are looking for Senior Accounting Specialist to join our fun and professional team. The Senior Accountant will be based in our client premises in Bucharest. Our client is a multinational company, and very well known player in the industry. Be part of the BPiON success story, join us!

What adventures are waiting for you if you join us?

  • Month end process (booking of accruals, reclasses, prepayments discharge,
    provisions)
  • Review of trial balance together with Accounting Manager and Finance
    Country Controller; proposals for corrections and adjustments where needed
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations for all BS accounts in accordance with company policy
  • Coordination with shared service team on Month end activities – review and
    approval for different operational tasks
  • Responsible for fixed assets – creation, capitalization, depreciation, annual inventory count and other ad-hoc reports
  • Responsible for checks on bank accounts
  • Involvement in global annual process of internal controls checks on accounting area
  • Together with Accounting Manager to work on financial statements – annual
    and half year simplified version
  • Intercompany recharges to affiliates entities – process requests from business, seek approval from budget holders (approvers) and coordination with shared service for billing and netting process
  • Engaged in external audit exercises by preparing data from information
    request
  • Ad-hoc reports and requests from Accounting Manager of Finance Country
    Controller

What we want you to bring:

  • University degree Economics, Finance, Accountancy;
  • 5+ years of professional experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance;
  • Solid knowledge of taxation processes and policies, and a solid understanding of local taxation legislation;
  • Good communication skills on English – both spoken and written;
  • Excellent computer knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint) plus ability to work with
    accounting ERP’s;
  • Knowledge of SAP system is an advantage;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills;
